CHICAGO, IL - September 2, 2025 - Two separate shooting incidents in the early hours of Tuesday left two people wounded as Chicago police continue to investigate.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. No arrests have been made; Area One detectives are leading the investigation.

Shortly after, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 41-year-old woman was found critically wounded with multiple gunshot wounds to her lower body in the 100 block of South Kilbourn Avenue in West Garfield Park. She was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. No suspects are in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
