Powerball Jackpot Remains Unclaimed After Monday Night Drawing

In Monday night’s Powerball drawing on September 1, 2025, no player matched all six numbers, leaving the jackpot unclaimed and pushing the prize to an estimated $1.30 billion for Wednesday’s drawing.

The winning numbers drawn shortly after 10:59 p.m. ET were:

  • White balls: 8, 23, 25, 40, 53
  • Powerball: 5
  • Power Play: 3x

Although the top prize went unclaimed, lottery officials reported significant secondary wins:

  • 10 tickets nationwide matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. These tickets were sold in California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey (2), New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
  • 2 tickets opted for the Power Play feature and doubled their five-white-ball prize to $2 million each; these tickets were sold in Montana and North Carolina.
  • An additional 124 tickets won $50 000 (Match 4 + PB), and 25 tickets won $150 000 (Match 4 + PB + Power Play).

With no jackpot winner for the 40th consecutive drawing since May 31, the ongoing streak is one shy of the all-time record of 42 drawings set in April 2024. Players now have until shortly before 10:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 3 to purchase tickets, with sales cut-offs varying by jurisdiction.

Winners of the $1.30 billion jackpot will choose between an annuitized prize paid over 30 years-beginning with a 5% annual escalation-or a one-time cash option of approximately $589 million before taxes. Tickets remain $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Stay tuned for Wednesday’s drawing results and good luck to all players.
