Mega Millions Jackpot Swells to $302 Million Ahead of Tuesday Drawing

In Tuesday’s post-Labor Day Mega Millions draw on September 2, 2025, the jackpot climbed to an estimated $302 million annuity ($136 million cash option), offering one of the largest prizes in the game’s history. The drawing will be held at 11 p.m. ET, with live streams available on select state lottery websites and broadcast partners.

The jackpot increase follows another rollover from the August 29 drawing, which also failed to produce a jackpot or second-tier (Match 5 + 0) winner. Since no ticket matched all five white balls and the Mega Ball last Friday, the prize pool grew by over $25 million to Tuesday’s record level.

Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets for the upcoming draw must be purchased by 10:45 p.m. ET on Tuesday at authorized retailers in participating jurisdictions. Players select five numbers from 1 through 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 through 24, or opt for a Quick Pick to have numbers randomly generated.

If multiple tickets match all six numbers, winners will split the jackpot pari-mutuelly. Non-jackpot prizes ranging from $2 million to $2 (for matching the Mega Ball only) are also available, and the Megaplier option can multiply non-jackpot winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X for an additional $1 per play.

The next Mega Millions drawing video and complete prize breakdown will be published immediately following Tuesday night’s live draw. Good luck to all entrants!
