PA Lottery News Brief - September 2, 2025

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Pennsylvania Lottery reported today that the Powerball® jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.30 billion for Wednesday’s drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s Labor Day drawing, making it the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot in game history and the ninth-largest among all U.S. lottery games. Among the 10 million-dollar winners nationwide, one ticket was sold in Pennsylvania, matching the five white balls but not the Powerball.

In addition to the national Powerball excitement, the Lottery today launched Scratch Connect™, a new interactive feature on its $2 Mini Monsters $100 Blowout Halloween-themed scratch-off game. Players can scan a QR code under the scratch-off coating to play an animated reveal game that discloses a predetermined prize outcome-available at retailers beginning September 2, 2025.

Drawings for daily games continue as scheduled: Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Cash 4Life, Cash 5, Treasure Hunt, and Match 6 are drawn twice daily or weekly according to the official schedule posted at palottery.com. Winners are reminded to sign the back of their tickets and follow claim procedures based on prize tiers, with prizes up to $600 claimable at any retailer and larger prizes requiring submission of a Claim Form.
