Powerball Numbers Preview and Recap - September 2, 2025

NEW YORK (September 2, 2025) - Last night’s Powerball drawing produced no grand prize winner, leaving the jackpot at a staggering $1.30 billion for tonight’s contest. Players are reminded that the next drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. ET this Wednesday, September 3.
A recap of Monday’s Labor Day drawing shows the winning white ball numbers as 8, 23, 25, 40, 53, with the red Powerball drawn as 5. The Power Play multiplier was 3x, but no ticket matched all six numbers to claim the advertised billion-dollar prize.
Despite the lack of a jackpot winner, several players still scored significant prizes. Twelve tickets nationwide matched all five white balls to win $1 million each, including four tickets sold in California and one each in Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey (two tickets), New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Two of those tickets were upgraded to $2 million prizes after purchasing the Power Play option.
With the jackpot climbing to its fifth-largest level in Powerball history, excitement is already building for tonight’s drawing. Tickets remain $2 per play, with the Power Play add-on available for an additional $1. Powerball is offered in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Players can watch the live drawing on television or via the official Powerball website. Good luck to everyone participating tonight!
