Andy Richter Joins Cast of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34

NEW YORK, September 3, 2025 (AP) - Comedian and actor Andy Richter will compete in the upcoming 34th season of ABC’s hit dance competition series, Dancing with the Stars, producers announced Wednesday morning on Good Morning America. Richter, best known as Conan O’Brien’s longtime sidekick on Late Night and host of the podcast The Three Questions, is one of several high-profile celebrities set to vie for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

Richter joins an eclectic lineup that includes reality star Hilaria Baldwin, former child star Danielle Fishel, actor Corey Feldman, YouTube sensation Alix Earle, and Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles. They will be partnered with professional dancers Mark Ballas, Emma Slater, and newcomer Jan Ravnik, among others, when the show premieres on September 16 to mark its 20th anniversary.

“I’ve always been a big fan of the show,” Richter said in a statement. “I can’t wait to trade jokes for jazz hands and hit the dance floor with these incredible pros.” Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will return to the panel, while Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough take on hosting duties. Episodes will air live on ABC and stream on Disney+, with next-day availability on Hulu.

The announcement caps off weeks of speculation about the star-studded cast, with viewers eager to see how Richter’s comedic timing translates to cha-cha-cha and foxtrot. Season 34 promises to blend athletic prowess, social-media fame, and classic Hollywood charm, continuing the series’ tradition of pairing diverse talents with expert dancers to create electrifying performances.
