Paramount+ Secures Streaming Rights for The Mechanic Paramount+ announced today that The Mechanic, Jason Statham’s 2011 action thriller directed by Simon West, will join its streaming lineup on September 1. The film, which co-stars Donald Sutherland, Ben Foster and Tony Goldwyn, follows a master assassin who mentors a young protégé amid a web of betrayal and revenge.
Jeremy Irons to Reprise Role in The Beekeeper 2 Miramax and Amazon MGM Studios revealed that Oscar‐winning actor Jeremy Irons will return as Wallace Westwyld in The Beekeeper 2, the sequel to Statham’s 2024 hit. Production on the action thriller-directed by Timo Tjahjanto and written by Kurt Wimmer-is set to begin this fall, with global release plans under Amazon MGM Studios and financing from Miramax.
The Fate of the Furious Returns to HBO Max Collider reports that The Fate of the Furious, in which Statham plays the cyber‐enhanced mercenary Deckard Shaw, has resurfaced on HBO Max as of September 1. The 2017 installment rejoined the streaming service just in time for fans gearing up for the franchise’s final chapter, Fast X: Part 2.
