Robert Irwin Spotlighted as Full “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34 Cast Unveiled

September 3, 2025 - LOS ANGELES Australia’s wildlife conservationist and television personality Robert Irwin has officially joined the cast of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34, as the network revealed the complete line-up on Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning America.

During the live broadcast, hosts announced Irwin alongside fellow celebrities such as Hilaria Baldwin, Alix Earle and Danielle Fishel. Irwin, 22, expressed his excitement at realizing a childhood dream to compete on the ballroom stage, recalling how he sat in the audience watching his sister Bindi win Season 21 a decade ago.

A highlight of the announcement was a special video message from Bindi Irwin, who moved temporarily to Los Angeles to support her brother. In the clip, she encouraged Robert to “lean into the experience” and let his personality “shine,” predicting that the adventure will be “life-changing” and that she could not wait to cheer him on each week.

Robert Irwin will be paired with professional dancer Witney Carson when the competition premieres on September 16. Season 34 follows a record-setting Season 33, which drew nearly 8 million viewers for its finale. As the first Irwin to compete on the U.S. version of the show, Robert aims to uphold his family’s legacy of authenticity and passion, qualities lauded by judge Derek Hough earlier this year.
