Whitney Leavitt to Compete on Dancing with the Stars Season 34

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3, 2025 - Social media star Whitney Leavitt has officially joined the cast of ABC’s dance competition series Dancing with the Stars for its upcoming thirty-fourth season. The announcement, revealed at a press event on Wednesday, confirmed that Leavitt will be partnered with veteran pro dancer Mark Ballas, marking his return to the ballroom after a brief retirement.

Leavitt, known for her role on the Hulu reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, shared with PEOPLE that she was “freaking out” upon learning Ballas would be her partner, describing her reaction as “jaw wide open” before scrambling to “play it cool”. Ballas, a two-time Mirrorball Trophy champion, echoed her enthusiasm and praised her natural dance background and quick rapport, noting that they have “hit it off pretty quickly” during early rehearsals.

At an ABC News segment aired Wednesday, Boy Meets World alum Danielle Fishel and Leavitt were spotlighted as two of the high-profile newcomers vying for this season’s Mirrorball Trophy, joining a diverse lineup of celebrities and Olympians. Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with next-day streaming on Disney+.
