Evanescence’s Amy Lee Releases Collaborative Single “End Of You”

September 4, 2025 (Los Angeles) - Amy Lee, the co-founder and frontwoman of Grammy-winning rock band Evanescence, has teamed up with Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox and genre-bending artist Poppy to release the highly anticipated single “End Of You.” The track, which premiered today via Sumerian Records, arrives alongside a cinematic music video showcasing the trio’s dark, powerful aesthetic.

The collaboration was teased across social media beginning August 26, when Lee, LaPlante and Poppy each posted a photo of them together without context, sparking widespread fan speculation. Subsequent video snippets released August 28 featured each artist performing a haunting line from the chorus: “‘Cause the end of you is the start of life for me.” Today’s full release brings the clubs’ expectations to fruition with a full-length song and video debut.

“End Of You” marks one of the year’s most high-profile metal crossovers, uniting three leading voices in modern rock and metal. The song’s production, speculated to involve Bring Me The Horizon alumnus Jordan Fish, underscores its blend of cinematic orchestration and heavy riffs. In the accompanying video, Lee, LaPlante and Poppy conjure powerful dark energy, visually reinforcing the track’s theme of rebirth through the end of oppressive forces.

Lee’s collaboration follows her recent work with Halsey on “Hand That Feeds” for the John Wick spin-off Ballerina soundtrack, while LaPlante solidified Spiritbox’s status as heavy-music innovators with their 2025 album Tsunami Sea, and Poppy continues to push genre boundaries on her sold-out They’re All Around Us tour. Evanescence themselves are currently in the studio finishing a new album set for release in 2026, making today’s release a tantalizing preview of the band’s evolving sound.
