Lady Gaga Postpones Miami ‘Mayhem Ball’ Show and Unveils New Single

Miami, FL - September 4, 2025 Lady Gaga announced the postponement of her Miami stop on the Mayhem Ball Tour just moments before showtime, citing vocal strain and medical advice to prevent potential long-term damage to her voice. Earlier in the day, she also released her new single “The Dead Dance,” accompanied by a Tim Burton-directed music video.
In an Instagram Story, the pop icon apologized to fans, explaining that during her rehearsal and vocal warm-ups her voice became “extremely strained,” prompting both her doctor and vocal coach to recommend canceling the performance to avoid “significant risk” of permanent damage to her vocal cords. The show, which was scheduled at Miami’s Kaseya Center, would have been the final of three consecutive nights in the city. The venue confirmed the postponement on social media and assured ticket holders that rescheduling details and refund information would be provided shortly.
Earlier today, Lady Gaga dropped “The Dead Dance” as a standalone single, premiering a gothic, black-and-white video directed by Tim Burton to coincide with her cameo appearance in Netflix’s second season of Wednesday-a move that underscores her continued crossover into film and television projects.
Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball Tour will resume with its next scheduled performances in New York City on September 6 and 7, where she is also slated to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards. Fans can expect updates on the rescheduled Miami date in the coming days.
