Laura Loomer Denounces Marjorie Taylor Greene Over Epstein Files Release

Washington, D.C., September 4, 2025 - Far-right activist Laura Loomer publicly rebuked Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) today for her support of a congressional effort to compel the Justice Department to unseal files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

At a press conference on the Capitol’s west lawn, Greene joined Epstein survivors calling for transparency, but Loomer seized on a photograph of Greene standing before a sign branding President Trump a “pedophile” to accuse the congresswoman of disloyalty. Posting the image on the social media platform X, Loomer declared Greene a “phony fraud” and vowed to show the photo directly to former President Trump.

Loomer claimed Greene’s backing of the discharge petition was motivated by personal grievance-speculating that Greene felt snubbed by Trump after being passed over for vice-presidential consideration-and urged Trump to expel Greene from the Republican Party for what she termed “traitorous” behavior.

Greene, one of four House Republicans sponsoring the discharge petition led by Representatives Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), defended her actions as a nonpartisan matter of justice for Epstein’s victims. She told reporters the petition transcended political lines and that she faced White House pressure not to sign it, which she attributed to Trump staffers rather than the former president himself.

The clash between Loomer and Greene marks the latest episode in Loomer’s ongoing campaign to police loyalty within Trump’s circle-an effort that has included public pressure on administration officials and direct appeals to the former president. As the movement to release the Epstein files gains momentum on Capitol Hill, Loomer’s intervention underscores the fractures among Trump’s most ardent supporters.
