AUSTIN (Sept. 4, 2025) -
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Appoints First Lottery Advisory Committee Members In its inaugural meeting under Senate Bill 3070, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) today appointed members to its newly established Lottery Advisory Committee. The committee, mandated by the legislation that dissolved the Texas Lottery Commission on Sept. 1, will advise TDLR on game rules, draw frequency, and retail practices aimed at bolstering declining ticket sales and ensuring regulatory compliance. Emergency rules adopted ahead of the appointments will remain in effect until Jan. 8, 2026, when permanent guidelines are expected to be finalized.
No Lotto Texas Drawing Tonight; Next Draw on Saturday As per the standard Texas Lottery schedule, the Lotto Texas game holds drawings only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. There will be no Lotto Texas drawing on Thursday, Sept. 4; the next Lotto Texas drawing is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, with an estimated jackpot of $52 million.
