Powerball Jackpot Remains Unclaimed After Wednesday Drawing in North Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 4, 2025 (AP) - Last night’s Powerball drawing produced no jackpot winner in North Carolina or nationwide, leaving the top prize to swell further ahead of Saturday’s drawing.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday, Sept. 3, were 3-16-29-61-69 with a Powerball of 22 and a Power Play multiplier of 2x. The estimated jackpot grew to $1.44 billion with a one-time cash option of $654.3 million, neither of which was claimed.

With no ticket matching all six numbers, the jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday, Sept. 6, is now projected to reach $1.7 billion, setting up one of the largest prize offerings in U.S. history. Players in North Carolina may purchase tickets at authorized retailers until 9:59 p.m. ET on drawing nights; online sales close at 9:57 p.m. ET in jurisdictions offering digital purchases.

Although the jackpot went unclaimed, numerous lower-tier prizes were awarded nationwide. Players matching five white balls without the Powerball shared $1 million prizes, and those with Power Play secured $2 million payouts. North Carolina participants are encouraged to check their tickets for these and other prizes and to verify any winnings at official claim centers.
