Paris Jackson Distances Herself from Michael Jackson Biopic, Makes First Public Appearance

Los Angeles, CA - On Thursday, September 4, 2025, actress and singer Paris Jackson publicly reaffirmed that she has “0% involvement” in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, while making her first appearance since clarifying her position on the project.

Jackson, 27, took to her Instagram Stories earlier this week to criticize actor Colman Domingo for suggesting she had been “very much in support” of the Antoine Fuqua-directed film. She wrote, “Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol. That is so weird,” adding that she reviewed an initial draft and offered notes, but “moved on with my life” after her feedback went unaddressed.

Later on Thursday, Jackson was spotted strolling in Los Angeles in an orange-and-black tie-dye maxi dress and long brown cardigan, accessorized with layered chains and shades. The outing came a day after she publicly distanced herself from Lionsgate’s two-part, $155 million biopic slated for release in April 2026.

Jackson emphasized she harbors no personal ill will toward the production, urging fans to “enjoy it” without involving her. Michael stars Jaafar Jackson as the King of Pop, with Colman Domingo portraying family patriarch Joe Jackson.
