Raegan Revord Announces Nonbinary Identity and Shares Dream Cast for Debut Novel Adaptation

Los Angeles, September 4, 2025 - Teen star Raegan Revord, best known for portraying Missy Cooper on CBS’s “Young Sheldon,” publicly came out as nonbinary today, confirming they use they/them pronouns and reflecting on the importance of representation for LGBTQ+ youth. Revord told Entertainment Tonight, “It’s surreal to realize that I am now that individual, and there could be a child out there thinking, ‘Wow, I see myself in you.’”
In a separate exclusive with Parade, Revord revealed their dream Hollywood lineup to bring their debut young adult rom-com novel Rules for Fake Girlfriends to life on screen. While no studio deals have been announced, Revord hinted at surprising casting choices, saying they “already have the perfect actors in mind” to capture the story’s blend of romance and self-discovery.
Additionally, in an interview published this morning by TV Insider, Revord discussed a “big shift” in their next creative venture-a foray into a fantasy novel-after wrapping promotions for Rules for Fake Girlfriends. They described the upcoming project as “a fun departure” from rom-coms and teased that “little Easter eggs” in their debut novel foreshadow elements of the new work.
