Endico Potatoes Inc. Extends Frozen Vegetables Recall Over Listeria Concerns

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y., September 5, 2025 - Endico Potatoes Inc. has expanded its voluntary recall of Endico-brand frozen vegetables after state testing identified the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium capable of causing serious and sometimes fatal infections in vulnerable populations.

Endico’s recall now applies to two specific products packaged in 2.5-pound clear plastic bags:

• Peas and Carrots (Lot 110625; production date June 11, 2025; use-by date June 10, 2027)
• Mixed Vegetables (Lot 170625; production date June 17, 2025; use-by date June 16, 2027)

These items were distributed via local distributors between July 18 and August 4, 2025, to retailers across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Florida. The recall follows routine sampling by Pennsylvania health officials that returned positive results for Listeria monocytogenes in finished products.

Although no illnesses have been reported to date, Listeria infections can cause symptoms ranging from fever, headache, and gastrointestinal distress to more severe complications-such as meningitis or miscarriage-in high-risk groups including pregnant women, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
