AMC Theatres Launches $66.66 “Slash Pass” for Horror Fans

AMC Theatres today rolled out a limited‐time “Slash Pass”, offering six admissions for $66.66 to boost attendance at this weekend’s horror release The Conjuring: The Last Rites.

The Slash Pass gives moviegoers six tickets redeemable on participating horror titles through year-end, or allows one fan to bring five friends to a single screening. AMC timed the launch to capitalize on the strong opening of The Conjuring and drive foot traffic during the Halloween season.

By bundling six admissions at a fixed price, AMC aims to counteract declining midweek attendance and “horror fatigue,” while providing value to genre enthusiasts. The pass can be used across multiple films or all at once, offering flexibility for group outings or repeat visits.

AMC’s initiative follows recent efforts to enhance the moviegoing experience, including reduced pre-show ads and expanded subscription discounts. The Slash Pass will be available at AMC locations nationwide beginning September 6 and running through December 31, 2025.
