CW Network Debuts Expanded College Football and Motorsport Coverage on September 6

The CW Network rolled out its new live sports lineup Saturday, headlined by ACC college football’s season opener and a tripleheader of Pac-12 matchups, complemented by NASCAR Xfinity Series racing across its broadcast schedule.

The network’s expanded sports push underscores its strategic shift into live programming, offering viewers an unprecedented block of wall-to-wall weekend sports that spans college football and motorsports.

Subheading: ACC Football Kicks Off on Broadcast Television

ACC season opener Baylor at SMU (12:00-3:30 p.m. ET) launched CW Football Saturday, marking the network’s first live ACC broadcast of the season. Veteran announcer Thom Brennaman led the coverage with analysts Will Blackmon and Wes Bryant in the booth, supported by the new “CW Football Saturday Countdown” pre-show team.

Subheading: Pac-12 Tripleheader and NASCAR Showcase

Fresno State at Oregon State (3:30-7:00 p.m. ET) and San Diego State at Washington State (10:15 p.m. ET-12:00 a.m. ET) highlighted the network’s Pac-12 tripleheader, produced by Pac-12 Enterprises.
Between football games, CW aired the NASCAR Xfinity Series from World Wide Technology Raceway (7:30-10:15 p.m. ET), featuring live driver cams and qualifying battles.
