Lexus unveiled its refreshed 2026 IS compact sports sedan today, revealing two powertrain variants-the IS 350 and IS 300h-and showcasing aggressive styling and upgraded driver-assist technology in Plano, Texas.

Driving Dynamics Refined

Engineers replaced the coaxial rack EPS with a rack-parallel setup featuring variable gearing, delivering more linear steering feel across speeds. A solenoid-type adaptive variable suspension system adjusts damping in real time, smoothing out body motions without sacrificing responsiveness.

Market Rollout and Availability

Production takes place in Japan, with sales commencing in early 2026 across global markets. In Canada, Lexus will offer only the IS 350 AWD in three F Sport trims: Design, Sport 2 and Sport 3, starting around the $59,000 CAD range.
