Evergreen High Marks Gold Day with Full Seven-Period Schedule

Evergreen High School students returned to campus Sept. 10 for a Gold Day rotation, attending all seven class periods on the district’s balanced bell schedule.

As part of Jeffco Public Schools’ alternating-day calendar, Gold Day ensures each class meets regularly throughout the semester and balances instructional time across subjects.

Main Part

Seven Periods in Focus

• Periods 1 through 7 convened today, with 52-minute classes and a 36-minute lunch from 11:21 a.m. to 11:57 a.m.
• Students entered through Access from 8:00 a.m. to 8:25 a.m., then proceeded to Period 1 at 8:30 a.m.

Rotating Calendar System

Gold Day falls midweek, alternating with Blue Day on Thursdays and All Period Days on Tuesdays and Fridays, ensuring equitable class meetings over the academic year.

Supporting Student Engagement

Faculty reported strong attendance, and classrooms focused on project kick-offs and syllabus overviews to set the tone for the semester. Advising periods and individual teacher conferences will follow throughout the week to address student questions and goals.
