James River Church Continues Community Outreach with Weekend Services and Volunteer Drive

Lead: James River Church welcomed over 7,000 worshippers across its four Missouri campuses during Saturday services and launched a back-to-school supply drive on September 13, 2025, to support local families.

Weekend Services Draw Thousands Saturday’s worship gatherings at the South, West, North and Joplin campuses featured live worship music, a message from Lead Pastor John Lindell on “Renewed Purpose,” and livestream participation for online congregants. Attendance was up 8% from the previous weekend.

Back-to-School Supply Drive Kicks Off Volunteers set up collection stations in each lobby to gather backpacks, notebooks and school supplies for Springfield’s Title I schools. Donations will be distributed through the One Heart Food Pantry network.

Life Group Open Houses Following services, over 200 prospective Life Group members joined open-house meet-ups, sampling small groups focused on everything from marriage enrichment to financial stewardship.
