Fairgoers Flock to Oklahoma State Fair for Farmhand Olympics and Family Fun

OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 13, 2025) - Thousands of visitors poured into OKC Fair Park Saturday to enjoy the Oklahoma State Fair’s headline events, including the inaugural Farmhand Olympics and the perennial Board Game Bonanza, alongside Disney On Ice performances and livestock demonstrations.

The fair’s Saturday lineup underscored its blend of agricultural tradition and entertainment, offering competitive showcases for Farm Bureau members, interactive gaming sessions for families, and championship-caliber circus acts. With events staged across both indoor and outdoor venues, the fair sustained its reputation as a can’t-miss September tradition for Oklahomans of all ages.

Farmhand Olympics Showcases Rural Skills At 5 p.m., the Super Barn hosted the Farmhand Olympics, featuring contests in bale stacking, hay bale relay and tractor obstacle courses. Nearly fifty participants vied for Farm Bureau medals, drawing a crowd of cheering supporters to witness hands-on farming competitions.

Board Game Bonanza Brings Analog Fun Beginning at noon in the Modern Living Building, the Board Game Bonanza offered free play of classic and new tabletop titles. Dozens of families and gaming clubs engaged in timed tournaments and casual rounds, highlighting the fair’s focus on inclusive, all-day entertainment.

Disney On Ice: Let’s Dance! Two free matinée shows of Disney On Ice: Let’s Dance! delighted younger fairgoers at the OG&E Coliseum at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., featuring skating routines to beloved Disney tunes and elaborate set pieces.

Additional Highlights

  • The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show showcased high-energy agility demonstrations on the Gordon Cooper Lawn at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
  • Plains Indian Dancers performed traditional exhibitions at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. across the Oklahoma Frontier Experience.
  • Music Bingo in The Lounge offered live-hosted rounds with prizes at 2 p.m. and again at 5 p.m.
