Viva Kids Secures North American Rights to “The Pout-Pout Fish”

Lead: Viva Kids has acquired North American distribution rights for the animated feature The Pout-Pout Fish, announcing today that the film will swim into theaters on March 20, 2026.

- Viva Pictures’ CEO Victor Elizalde finalized the deal, partnering with Australia’s Like A Photon Creative and MIMO Studios on production.
- Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, which co-financed the project, lauded the film’s educational legacy and global readership.

- Nick Offerman leads the voice ensemble alongside Nina Oyama, Miranda Otto, Remy Hii, Jordin Sparks and Amy Sedaris.
- Ricard Cussó directs, with Rio Harrington as co-director and a screenplay by Elise Allen, Elie Choufany and Dominic Morris.

- The 92-minute feature was produced in Queensland, Australia, with post-production support from Screen Queensland.
