- Defect: The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel may remain blank at startup, preventing drivers from seeing malfunction indicators and speed data.
- Remedy: Dealers will inspect and update meter programming or replace the combination meter at no cost. Owner notifications begin mid-November.
Climate Controls on EV SUVs May Fail
- Affected Models: 2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ300e/RZ450e, Subaru Solterra.
- Defect: HVAC software glitch can disable defroster/defogger during electrical compressor faults, risking reduced windshield visibility in cold weather.
- Remedy: Free software update for the HVAC control unit and inspection or replacement of the compressor as needed. Owners to be notified by October 20.
