Fox One Streaming Platform Launches, Covering September 14 NFL Games

Fox Corporation launched its new direct-to-consumer streaming service “Fox One” on August 21, 2025, marking the company’s entry into standalone streaming offerings.

Fox One’s September 14 Sports Coverage

The streaming platform, priced at $19.99 monthly, provided comprehensive coverage of Fox’s NFL games on September 14, 2025. Key games included the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 PM ET, marking one of the season’s most anticipated matchups. The service also covered the New York Giants versus Dallas Cowboys game at 1:00 PM ET, along with several other NFL Week 2 games.

Service Details and Market Positioning

Fox One represents the media giant’s response to 65 million American households that no longer subscribe to traditional cable or satellite television. The platform consolidates Fox’s entire portfolio, including Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, local Fox stations, and the Fox Network into one streaming destination.

“Fox One is the most significant streaming launch in our company’s history,” said Lachlan Murdoch, Fox Corporation’s executive chair and CEO. The service offers over 12,000 hours of on-demand content alongside 12 live channels, with support for up to four simultaneous streams and unlimited DVR storage.

Competitive Landscape

The launch coincided with ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming service debut, creating a significant moment in sports streaming. Both companies are targeting cord-cutters while attempting to avoid accelerating traditional pay-TV subscriber departures. Fox has partnered with Disney to offer a bundle of Fox One and ESPN’s service for $39.99 monthly starting October 2, 2025.

Technology and Features

Built on technology from Fox’s Tubi platform, Fox One incorporates AI-powered personalization features. The service offers enhanced search capabilities in partnership with Perplexity and responsive support through Sierra AI. Users can access personalized content recommendations, live scores, game highlights, and vertical video shorts for mobile viewing.

The platform is available across major streaming devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and gaming consoles. Existing cable subscribers can authenticate within Fox One at no additional cost.
