Body Discovered on Delta State University Campus, Classes Canceled

CLEVELAND, Miss., Sept. 15, 2025 - Delta State University staff found a deceased individual on campus early Monday morning, prompting University Police and local authorities to launch an active investigation. All classes and Centennial events for the day have been canceled.

The discovery underlines campus safety concerns and has spurred support measures for the DSU community. Counseling and support services are available to students, faculty and staff through the O.W. Reilly Counseling Center.
