Mauritius Prime Minister Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple in India

Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam of Mauritius on Monday offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, India, reinforcing deep cultural and diplomatic ties between the two nations. This visit, part of his eight-day state tour, underscores shared heritage and ongoing collaboration.

The prime minister’s temple darshan, attended by senior Andhra Pradesh officials, highlights Mauritius’s enduring spiritual connections with India and bolsters bilateral goodwill.

Diplomatic Visit Strengthens Cultural Bonds

At Tirumala’s Dwajasthambam, Mr Ramgoolam was welcomed by Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu. A 30-member Mauritian delegation accompanied him, reflecting the importance Mauritius places on this pilgrimage.
