Nut Graf: After a 12-year hiatus, skate. returns to redefine digital street skating, blending authentic trick mechanics with community-driven world building to engage both veterans and newcomers.

Early Access Launch

Revamped Trick System

  • Flick-It 2.0: Enhanced controls deliver precise wallies, slappies, firecrackers, and other advanced tricks without sacrificing the millimeter-perfect feel of the original.
  • Skatepedia Integration: An in-game “codex” offers step-by-step tutorials for newcomers, demystifying complex maneuvers and fostering skill growth.

Community-Powered Sandbox

Players can place ramps, rails, and custom obstacles to craft unique skate parks. Seasonal challenges, live events, and cosmetic drops invite the community to co-create San Vansterdam, ensuring the city evolves with player input.

Cross-Progression and Monetization

All platforms share progression and inventory, enabling seamless switching between devices. Early Access introduces a free-and-premium “Skate Pass” model; EA guarantees full refunds for any paid content purchased during testing once the permanent launch occurs.

Developer Vision

skate. aims to capture the freedom, creativity, and camaraderie of skate culture,” says Mike McCartney, executive producer. “We’ve built a living urban playground shaped by our players from day one,” adds Jeff Seamster, head of creative.

With its focus on authenticity, community agency, and continued evolutive content, skate. positions itself as a genre-defining comeback for one of skateboarding’s most cherished franchises.
