AGT Semifinals Results Show Determines Season 20 Finalists

America’s Got Talent revealed its Season 20 finalists during Wednesday night’s live results show, narrowing down 11 semifinalist acts to the final competitors.

The NBC talent competition concluded its semifinal round with host Terry Crews announcing which acts advanced from Tuesday’s performances at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Six acts earned spots through America’s vote, joining four previous golden buzzer recipients to complete the finals lineup.

Semifinal Competition Format

Tuesday’s semifinals featured 11 acts competing live after advancing from four weeks of quarterfinal rounds. Unlike previous rounds, no semifinal golden buzzer was awarded, making all advancement dependent on viewer voting.

The competing acts included diverse talent ranging from acrobatic duo TT Boys to vocalist Jourdan Blue, aerial performers Sirca Marea, and the Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir. Each performer delivered their most ambitious routines, knowing only six spots remained available.

Voting Process and Timeline

America voted during and after Tuesday’s two-hour live show, with results tabulated overnight. The elimination format followed AGT’s traditional structure, where the lowest vote-getters were sent home while top performers advanced.

According to NBC’s format, the six semifinal winners will compete alongside four acts who previously received golden buzzers during quarterfinals: Team Recycled (Howie Mandel’s choice), Micah Palace (Simon Cowell), Mama Duke (Mel B), and Steve Ray Ladson (Sofia Vergara).

Road to Finals

The Season 20 finals will feature 10 total acts competing for the $1 million grand prize and winner’s title. Final performances are scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, with the winner announcement set for Wednesday, September 24.

This milestone represents AGT’s 20th season, featuring judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and returning judge Mel B, with Terry Crews hosting.

The competition continues NBC’s tradition of live voting elimination rounds, maintaining audience engagement through the decisive semifinal and final stages of America’s premier talent showcase.
