Mormon Wives Reality Series Hits Australian Free-to-Air TV

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will debut on Australian free-to-air television next month, marking the controversial reality show’s first availability outside subscription streaming in the country.
The announcement, made today, represents a significant expansion for the Emmy-nominated Hulu series that has captivated audiences with its portrayal of Mormon influencer mothers navigating faith, scandal, and social media stardom. The move to free-to-air television makes the show accessible to millions more Australian viewers without requiring streaming subscriptions.
Show Premieres October 2 on 7Bravo
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will premiere on 7Bravo and 7plus on Thursday, October 2, bringing the Utah-based reality series to Australian screens for the first time outside subscription platforms. The show follows a group of Mormon mothers whose carefully curated influencer lifestyles were disrupted by a swingers scandal that generated international headlines.
The series features cast members Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews and Whitney Leavitt. Each woman faces unique pressures while trying to maintain their public image online amid personal struggles ranging from marital problems to clashes within their social circle.
Reality TV Phenomenon Expands Global Reach
The show’s arrival on Australian free-to-air television comes as the series prepares for its third season, scheduled to premiere November 13 on Hulu and Disney+ internationally. Season three will feature all ten episodes dropping simultaneously, continuing the format that has made the show a binge-watching phenomenon.
Season one delves into the women’s efforts to navigate the aftermath of scandal while juggling religion, tradition and personal desires. The storylines highlight tensions between strict Mormon values and modern independence, as well as issues of control within relationships.
The series is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Executive producers include Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Brandon Beck, Eric Monsky, Ross Weintraub, Reinout Oerlemans, Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger and Lisa Filipelli.
Emmy Recognition Boosts Profile
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives received an Emmy nomination this year for outstanding unstructured reality program, competing alongside shows like “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” and “Love on the Spectrum”. The recognition has elevated the show’s profile as it expands to new international markets.
The third season promises continued drama with official synopsis teasing that “#Momtok is back, but damaging revelations and allegations threaten its future”. Cast members face a crisis of friendship as loyalties shift and trust is tested, with the pursuit of truth calling character into question.
Australian viewers will now have the opportunity to experience the reality series that has become a pop culture phenomenon, exploring themes of faith, family obligations, social media stardom and shifting loyalties within tight-knit religious communities.
