Investigators obtained the warrant following the discovery of Rivas’ body on September 8, when tow-yard personnel reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle. The teenager, who went missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024, was found inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk and officially identified on Wednesday.
