Regal Cinemas South Beach on Lincoln Road to Close at Month’s End

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - The landmark Regal Cinemas South Beach on Lincoln Road will permanently close its doors at the end of September, the Miami Beach planning board approved Thursday.

A pivotal cultural shift The board’s decision clears the way for the Superhuman Museum development, a project led by local entrepreneur Steve Berke that promises to anchor Lincoln Road’s revival with 17 immersive exhibits.

The Miami Beach planning board unanimously endorsed plans to replace the 26-year-old multiplex at 1120 Lincoln Road Mall with the Superhuman Museum. Construction is slated to begin this fall, immediately following the theater’s final screenings.
