Hanover, N.H. – Dartmouth College has announced the six Montgomery Fellows for the 2025–26 academic year. These include scholars and artists. The roster includes groundbreaking performers, innovative scholars, and a Pulitzer Prize–winning historian. Highlights of the program:

Vinzenz Hediger Film Historian (Chair of Film & Media Studies) He gives lectures and works with faculty and students on film preservation.
Annette Gordon-Reed ’81 Harvard Professor & Pulitzer Prize–Winning Historian - Public talk on The Hemingses of Monticello - Seminars for Dartmouth’s 250th anniversary celebrations
**Anna Deavere Smith** **Playwright & Actor** Workshops and residencies with the Hopkins Center and the Theater Department are focused on creating a new play. This play is inspired by Anita Hill’s testimony.
Ethan Iverson Music Director Meets with students and faculty; co-creates performances for Montgomery Fellows events.

The Montgomery Fellows Program invites great thinkers to campus. They engage in public lectures, master classes, and informal talks. Dartmouth President Sian Leah Beilock said, “These Fellows enrich our community’s grasp of the arts, humanities, and social issues at a key moment in the College’s history.”


Keene, N.H. – A multi-vehicle accident on Route 9 West injured seven people on Sunday. The highway was closed for a while. One of the injured was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. The crash involved two cars and a motorcycle. It was declared a Level 1 mass casualty incident. Emergency teams from Keene, Spofford, Cheshire County, and Rescue Inc. rushed to the scene. DHART flew one critically injured patient to Dartmouth Hitchcock by helicopter. All victims were awake and breathing during transport. Four went to Cheshire Medical Center, two to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and one to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation.
